A Dream That Comes to Life

My name is Victoria Timofeeva, and I’m from Orenburg. I’ve been involved in music since childhood—just for myself, as a hobby. I graduated from Orenburg Medical University and am currently working in my field, but music remains my favorite hobby.

I studied at a music school and play the saxophone. I didn’t go to a higher music education institution—I was too smart, and my parents decided I should study medicine. As it turned out, my career and music ended up on different paths in my life, but I never gave up music.

I perform in Orenburg, sometimes as a soloist and sometimes in a duet with a colleague. We met at work, discovered each other’s talents, and just started making music together. Without any long searches or plans—just on a whim.

This year, we won the “White Flower” festival for medical workers in the Orenburg Region . Now we’re performing the same song—“The Beautiful Is Far Away”—and we’re already taking it to the big stage.

I guess that’s exactly what I’ve always dreamed of: for as many people as possible to hear my music. And for me to one day find myself on the big stage.
